Sladen Estates have bolstered their development team with the hire of an associate director from a leisure and retail background.
Nigel Jones has joined the company to expand the firms operations within the retail and leisure sector throughout the UK.
Derbyshire based Sladen Estates is known for industrial and commercial development in the East and West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Cheshire, Cambridgeshire and North East markets but have in recent years expanded into the leisure, retail and mixed use sectors.
Nigel brings with him 10 years’ experience in commercial property surveying and development and prior to joining Sladen Estates, Nigel worked as an acquisitions surveyor for Asda and spent seven years with commercial property consultants Innes England specialising in retail.
Sladen Estates chief executive Nick Sladen said: “I’m delighted to welcome Nigel to the firm, and with his impressive experience I know he will be a real asset to us and our clients.
“The retail and leisure sector is an increasingly large area of our business and Nigel’s hire is part of our strategy to expand our involvement in these sectors.”

Nigel will be based in the South Normanton office but will cover work across the country.
